Reminiscences on Leopold Stokowski, Jul. 28, 1976 [sound recording].

Avshalomov remembers that Stokowski performed his father's composition Hutungs of Peiping with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1933. He remembers Stokowski's rehearsal for his own piece, Taking of T'ung Kuan, in Detroit in 1949; and Stokowski's performance of his Evocations at the Museum of Modern Art in 1952; the rehearsals for Henry Brant's Signs and Alarms at the same concert; and the party afterwards given by Stokowski and Gloria Vanderbilt.
